Not easy to make the connection. The first, second and every time since I've seen it...I express, outloud "stop the creepiness!" It's pretty hidden if you don't really pay attention....nothing to do with age :)

Perhaps I'm just a little slower than most - or its just a case of aging vision, but I really didn't get that the creepy guy was made out of a bunch of little people until the cars appeared. Once that happened, I tried to make the connection between it all....

Ah! The message didn't get through to you. I feel the same way. The ads are suppose to convey individuality...they have a Prius for each individual. The whole composition is just too strange for me.

I love the music, the VO, and the scripting. But the guy made out of a bunch of little people? That seems to have no relevance to the car or making me want to buy one!

Both commercials are pretty strong. I have occasional issues with it recognizing my words on the phone app. But I'm guessing that with a mic on a full computer it works pretty well. Good stuff!

Thanks Kim for making the tine to visit and comment! Personally I do think they are pretty funny...and I love the empowerment aspect. Not sure I'd feel totally comfortable sitting next to a male friend and laughing at it. Adult humor! :)

The only problem I have with it is the volume on my laptop was up too far when I went to the website! I think humor is a terrific way to promote something that is difficult to discuss. But then, I'm not easily offended and I can't remember the last time I blushed.

Aren't you, as a woman, sick of all the "feminine" commercials that portray women wearing white clothes, surrounded by white furniture, etc.? Or maybe the ad has a woman in yoga wear stretching. I like the fact that there was obvious effort put into these spots, and a good deal of artistry. They are different. And the very fact that people are blogging about it means that they are effective in getting the word out.

And hey, I guess it is true that men have fought, battled and died for it ;)

Another angle to this is this: What does having bumper stickers at all seems to say about that car's owner? More and more these days it seems there are two types of drivers... Those WITH bumper stickers, and those without. The ones on the "with" side often tend to have multiple stickers - sometimes almost to excess! Whereas those "without" will put nothing on the back of their car except for the proverbial window static sticker displaying a college name.

So among the "with" bumper sticker crowd, are they actually more similar to each other than dissimilar - even when their respective stickers are otherwise diametrically opposed?
